Dennis W. Laake, 68, of Weimar, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018.  He was born September 13, 1950 in Yoakum to the late Moritz E. and Mary E. Kremling Laake.  Dennis was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family and showing off his trophies.

Dennis is survived by his daughter,  Jennifer Laake (Warren) Buchhorn of Cuero; sisters, Dottie Light of Katy and Barbara Sims-Shaver of Conroe; brother, Dellie Ray Laake of Thomaston; grandson, Tyler Buchhorn of Cuero; and granddaughter, Amber Buchhorn of Cuero.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a memorial service at 2 p.m.
