Donrell "Pokey" Thomas 66 passed on Saturday February 25, 2017 at Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Pokey was the fourth child born to Leslie Thomas Sr. and Jeralene Mills Thomas on February 27, 1950. He attended Daule grade school and graduated from Cuero High. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Herman Baptist Church. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for two years. Pokey was employed at Alcoa Point Comfort and Welders Equipment. He later worked several jobs in the Cuero Area. Pokey was preceded in death by his parents, sister Faye Ruth Lee; and brother Michael Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Brandi Thomas of Cuero; brothers, Leslie Thomas. Jr. (Phyllis) of Victoria and Leonard Thomas (Brenda) of Portland; grandchildren, Jazz, Exzeric, and Brinna all of Cuero; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
