Dora Serna Cessor, 87, of Cuero passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. She was born October 5, 1929 in Cuero to the late Joe and Bertha Anzaldua Serna. Dora married Willie Cessor on December 17, 1952 in Cuero. She was a housewife and enjoyed crochet, gardening, puzzles, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Dora Alice Cessor, Delitha Ann Cessor, Delores Dianne Guenther, and Patricia Ann Jackson (Tracey Lapp); sons, Willie Cleveland Cessor (Diana) and Grover Cleveland Cessor (Georgia); sister, Tillie Trevino; brothers, Jimmy Serna and Richard Serna; 26 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Willie Cessor; son-in-law, Bobby Guenther; and brothers, Joe Serna and Marvin Serna. Visitation will be held Monday, January 2, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017, 2 p.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stacy Cessor, David James Cessor-Culver, Derek Allison Cessor-Culver, Blake Allen Jackson, Matthew Wayne Jackson, William Randolph Buch, Grover Cleveland Cessor III, and Dustin William Cessor-Culver. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Culver, Tracey Alan Lapp, Sean Webb, Roger Dale Rickman Jr., Bobby Lee Gonzales, Roger Dale Rickman, Noah Bland, and Larry Miller.
