Doris Raabe Doehrman , 90, of Meyersville passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in Westphalia on April 20, 1929 to John Raabe and Geneva Arnold Raabe Rieger . She married Alvin Floyd Doehrman on January 6, 1948. They started and operated the Doehrman Turkey Ranch for 37 years, the last turkey farm of DeWitt County. She was a member of Sts . Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Meyersville where she taught 3 generations of CCD , served on the church council, was a member of Altar Society, and a Eucharistic Minister. Doris served as President of the Victoria Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, was an associate of the Incarnate Word of the Blessed Sacrament, and a Catholic Daughter. She was a DeWitt Co. 4-H leader and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by a brother, Monroe Rieger and wife Mary Margaret, and six children: Janice Ohrt , Mark Doehrman and wife Sue, Sylvia Jacob and husband Kenneth, Chris Doehrman and wife Nancy, Rhonda Goebel and husband Richard, and Phyllis Foulds , twenty-one grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and one great - great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years; parents; brothers, John (Jake) and Franklin

and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 5 to 7 pm at St. Michaels Catholic Church with a Rosary led by family to begin at
7pm
. The funeral mass will be held Monday, April 29, 2019, 10 am at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father Jasper
Liggio
and Father Jacob Mendoza officiating. Interment to follow at
Sts
. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in
Meyersville
.
