Doris Marion Heisler Overby, 93, of Cuero was joined by family in her final moments when she passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was born August 3, 1929 in Cuero to Edward and Gertrude Margaret Hadamek Heisler. She worked as a librarian for many years. She married Kenneth Oliver "Shine" Overby on June 19, 1951 in Cuero. She enjoyed playing the piano and doing needle-point. As stated by her nephew, James "Jimmy" Lane, she was a good mother.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Mae Heisler-Alsbrook of Cuero and grandchildren, Corey Overby, Evan Overby, Mandy Overby and Lee Overby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 64 years, Shine, and sons, Thomas Lee Overby and Robert Edward "Bobby" Overby.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, 2:00 PM at Hillside Cemetery.
