Dorothy Mae Alsbrook, 88, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018. She was born on August 3, 1929 to the late Ed and Gertrude Heisler of Cuero. She married the love of her life, Jerry Robert Alsbrook, on February 2, 1968 in Fairbanks, AK. Dorothy was known for her quick sense of humor, and her love of bingo, bowling, and Las Vegas. Dorothy spent many years of her life as a telephone operator, a job made all the richer by her lifelong friends made there.
She is survived by her sister, Doris Overby of Nursery; her three children, James Lane of Wimberley, Patricia (Denny) Victor of Anchorage, AK, and Janice Breeze of Wimberley; and by her many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her grandson, Michael Victor; and her daughter-in-law, Monta Faye Lane.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
