Dorothy Jean Taylor DeLeon passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 22, 1941 in Cuero to Jesse James and Ellie Irene Boone Taylor. She married Robert Edward DeLeon on May 31, 1960. Dorothy was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She attended Cuero schools and retired from CISD where she was employed for 27 years.
She is survived by husband, Robert DeLeon of Cuero; daughters, Michele Pargmann of Cuero and Tracee DeLeon of Huntsville; son, Jed DeLeon of Meyersville; her beloved grandson, Bo Pargmann of Cuero, Jacob DeLeon of Waco, and Justin DeLeon of Waco; her precious great-grandson, Asher Rhett DeLeon of Waco; sister, Patsy Kuecker of Cuero; and sister-in-law, Betty Taylor of Cuero.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Webb; brother, James Taylor; and her beloved grandson, Cole Thomas Pargmann.
Visitation will be Monday, March 26, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018, 10 a.m., at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Muehlbrad officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Jeffrey Taylor, Michael Kuecker, Clayton Ley, Tim Ley, Randall Webb, and Lane Marrou. Honorary pallbearers include Asher DeLeon, Amy Wilson, Mike Parker, Justin DeLeon, Jacob DeLeon, Bo Pargmann, and Cole Thomas Pargmann.
