Obituary
Dorothy Lee Vaughn, of Cuero, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011. She would have turned 85 on Thursday, February 24, 2011.
She was born in Weslaco, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley to Alva Eugene and Ruby Hooser Geraughty. She was the second child born out of nine children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva Eugene and Ruby Hooser Geraughty; three sisters , Barba Jo Reams, Doris Kathleen Musick, and Peggy Lynn Maloy; and two brothers, Patrick Eugene Geraughty and Bobby James Geraughty.
She is survived by her loving husband, Marcus Ray Vaughn , to whom she has been married for 66 years; daughter, Janice Ann Snapp and son-in-law William H. Snapp, Jr.; granddaughter , Cindy Lynn Favre and husband Scott M. Favre; grandson, William Ray Snapp; three great grandsons, Marcus Scott Favre, Ricky Michael Favre and William Jackson Snapp; three sisters Betty Ann Johnston, Mary Dell Ray and Shirley Fern Fuqua.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuero.
She will be greatly missed as a friend, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is loved by all.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011, 10 a.m., at Hillside Cemetery with Dr. Glenn Robertson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Texas or the charity of choice.
