Easter Mabry Barnett, 72, of Cuero passed away Sunday, June 13, 2011. She was born April 9, 1939 in Cuero to the late Frank and Vollie Mabry. She married her late husband Leroy Alvin Barnett on December 17, 1955 in Cuero.

She is survived by daughters, Rhondal Royster Harrison, Jennifer F. Rhodes and husband, Harlan, Janice Barnett Love and husband, Christopher, and Veronica Easter D. Herndon and husband, Mitch; sons, Leroy Alvin Barnett Jr., Larry D. Barnett, and Barry R. Barnett; sisters, Ovie L. Robinson and Ruby Franklin and husband, Isaac; brother, Frank D. Mabry and wife, Sylvia; brother-in-law, Wesley Franklin; daughter-in-law, Patricia Barnett; sister-in-law, Laura Foley; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy Barnett; daughter, Cynthia K. Johnson; sons , Joe Anthony Barnett and Frank L. Barnett; sisters, Elizabeth Franklin, Goldie M. Clay, and Doris Franklin; brother, Collins E. Foley; and brothers-in-law, Adolph Robinson, Chester Franklin, and Alfred Clay.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at LE Meador Encampment Grounds with Rev. Lawrence G. Roy officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Herchal Rhodes, Eugene Anthony Love, Barry Barnett Jr., Harlan Rhodes Jr., Daryl Wayne Barnett, and Javar Barnett.
