Obituary

Ed "Candyman" Pakebusch,91, of Cuero, TX died June 29, 2013. He was born Jan. 6, 1922 in Sample, Texas to the late Charles and Janie Gejagelmann Pakebusch. He married Elvie Warling on April 22, 1947. He served in the US Army during WWII, was a member of the Cuero V.F.W and the Cuero Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Elvie Pakebusch of Cuero, daughter Karen Yates of Houston and son Randy Pakebusch and wife Rhonda of Cuero, grandchildren, Lacy Pakebusch, Todd Yates, and Stephen Yates; and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles Pakebusch Jr. Hugo Pakebusch and Paul Pakebusch, sisters Minie Schmidt, Irene Norman, Hilda Brehm and Ella Pakebusch.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, July 1, 2013 at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be 10 am Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chase Yates, Nathan King, Garland Pakebusch, Todd Yates, Stephen Yates and Walter Lee Leister.

Honorary Pallbearers Bobby Pakebusch and Adolph Liendo.

Memorials can be made to the St. Michael's School Endowment Fund.
