Edmund G. Sager, 92, passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010. He was born in Arneckeville to Otto and Anna Nagel Sager. He married Lorene V. Dreier in Meyersville on May 26, 1938.

Edmund was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Arneckeville, World War II veteran, member of Cuero VFW, and a life member of NRA.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Sager and wife Abigail; daughter, MaryEllen House and husband Phil; sister, Evelyn McWhorter; grandchildren, Brian Sager and wife Darlene, Darrel Sager and wife Tessa, Gordon Sager and wife Lisa, Mark House, Kim House, Kaye House, and Ramond Detiveaux; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene; brother, Albert; and his parents.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today, Sept. 21, at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arneckeville with Pastor Barbara Beale officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Meyersville.
