Edna (Kay) Farmer of Cuero was surrounded by her loving family when she was called home on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 after a long, hard, courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 25, 1950 in Cuero to John Arnold Moore and the late Mary Crone. Kay was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She made the world a better place with her unwavering love and through the love of her daughter and her grandchildren. She enlightened the lives of everyone that knew her. Her recipe for life and love will be carried on for generations to come.
She is survived by her father, John Arnold Moore; her daughter, Suzy Farmer; her grandchildren, Dismas Maseda and Jalissa Maseda; sisters, Patricia Smith (Kenneth), Linda Schueneman (James), and Sue Molands; brother, John Moore Jr. (Mary); and numerous nephews and nieces that she truly loved.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Crone; sisters, Marilyn Moore and Sandra Lou Franklin; grandparents, Jimmy and Lillie Light; and stepmother, Norma Moore.
Pallbearers: Jonathan Molands, Ralph Smith, Greg Smith, Carlton McBride, Wesley Ledwik, and Chris Garibay.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, April 2, 2010, 2 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Glen Moore officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Lindenau Cemetery.
