Eleazar Alex Trevino, 61, of Cuero, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his home. He was born February 15, 1956 in Cuero to the late Arturo L. Anzaldua and Manuala Trevino. Alex was married to Myra Trevino for 30 wonderful years. He worked for Dick Corporation for 15 years where he would travel across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. With Dick, Alex built hospitals and houses, built additions to San Juan University, and restored a hotel in Anguilla, British West Indies. In 2006 Alex began construction on the first federal building being built in San Francisco since 9/11. After leaving Dick Corporation he started his fencing business, South Fork Fencing, in Cuero. Alex enjoyed hunting and fishing, football, Nascar, and he loved to play baseball. Alex had a passion for animals and life.
Alex is survived by his wife; daughters, Amy Trevino Rogers (Buck) of Lettsworth, LA, Crystal Lemoine (Judd) Decuir of Mansura, LA, and Stacy Jean Francois (John) of Port Allen, LA; sons, Jeryl Davis of Carencro, LA, Justin Lemoine of Lafayette, LA, and Shannon Lemoin (Sissy) of Mansura, LA; brothers, Ismael Anzaldua, Alfred Anzaldua, Lawrence (Linda) Anzaldua, Armando Diaz all of Cuero, Rudalpho Diaz of San Antonio, Albert Anzaldua of Yuba City, CA, and Jake Anzaldua of Luling; and fourteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parent; sisters, Amalia Renteria and Linda Renteria; and brother, Moises Trevino, and Larry Trevino.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Brown and Alfred Anzaldua officiating.
