Elena P. Lopez, 78, of Cuero passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019. She was born March 3, 1941 in DeWitt County to the late Juan and Victoria Contreras Partida. She married the love of her life, Librado Lopez on August 7, 1957. Elena was a homemaker and enjoyed quality time spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Mejia and husband, Joe, of Nebraska; sons, Librado Leroy Lopez Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Nebraska, Joe Louis Lopez of Cuero, and Sammy Lopez and wife, Jennifer, of Victoria; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband; son, Martin Lopez; and daughter, Gloria Lopez.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 beginning at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Rev. Fernando Aleman officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery.
