Elias Garibay Jr., 25, of Cuero passed away Saturday. May 23, 2015. He was born November 13, 1989 in Cuero to Joann Gonzales Thurkettle and Elias Garibay Sr. Elias married the love of his life, Caitlin Carter on April 19, 2014 in Cuero. He was a Sales Associate for Wal-Mart in Sugarland. Elias was a member of Lakewood Church in Houston. He is survived by his wife, Caitlin Carter Garibay of Sugarland; mother and stepfather, Joann and Bob Thurkettle of Missouri City; father and stepmother, Elias Sr. and Josie Garibay of Cuero; brother, Joseph Garibay of Cuero; and sisters, Eliza Garibay of Missouri City, Katie Thurkettle and Amanda Thurkettle, both of Katy. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Adela Gonzales. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Graveside service will be Thursday, May 28, 2015, 10 a.m., at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero. Interment will immediately follow.
