Obituary
Eliceo 'Cheo' Mendez, 67, of Cuero passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Victoria. He was born January 11, 1943 in Nixon to Dora G. Mendez and the late Francisco Mendez. He was an auto mechanic.
He is survived by his mother; daughters, Rachel Mendez of Yorktown, Brandi Fisher of Beeville, and Pamela Mendez of Cuero; sons, Robert Mendez of Yorktown and Matthew Mendez of Georgetown; sisters, Dellia Mendez of Cuero, Gloria Salazar of Ballinger, Oralia Gonzales of Gonzales, and Susie Soto of Stockdale; brothers, Gilbert Mendez, Ernest Mendez, and Joe Mendez, all of Cuero, and Ramon Mendez of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Brandie Enriquez of Kingsville, Brittany Mendez of Waco, Brooke Mendez of Yorktown, Lucas Anthony and Gabrielle Fisher of Beeville; Javier Vela of Cuero, and Nolan Mendez of Georgetown.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Francisco Mendez Jr.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday, November 10, 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Deacon Tony Warzecha officiating. Interment will follow at Cheapside Cemetery.
