Elinor Clair Corssen Goodwyn passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 in San Antonio. She was born May 25, 1919 in Yoakum to the late Oscar Conrad and Rocky Ann Stevens Corssen. She married Finley W. Goodwyn on Oct. 11, 1941 in Cuero. She taught in the Cuero Independent School District for many years, and was active in Cuero's First United Methodist Church until she and her husband moved to Boerne, where she was living at the time of her death.
She is survived by three children, Finley Bruce Goodwyn of Boerne, Clair Goodwyn of San Antonio, and Ann Bordelon of Shoreacres; two grandchildren, Candyce Goodwyn of Boerne and Colette Hammons of Plano; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Jessica Hammons of Plano; and a sister-in-law, Lenny Province of May.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2011, 10 a.m., at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
