Elizabeth Lee Bennett, beloved mother and devoted friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 63 on March 13, 2011. Elizabeth was a free spirit with a zest for life who loved animals, music, and dancing. Her sharp wit and broad sense of humor brought joy to all who knew her. Her love of travel will surely continue from this world into the next. Elizabeth will be missed by all of those who called her "mom".

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Walter Lee Bennett; her mother, Ruby Lee Bennett; and her son, Joseph Frank Wanjura.

She is survived by her son Lee Ray Wanjura and his wife Val.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 2pm at the Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
