Elizabeth (Betty) Dahlman of Corpus Christi, formerly of Beeville passed away on November 18, 2018 at the grand age of 100. She was born on April 9, 1918 to the late Lawrence R. Stablein and the late Marion Wade Stablein Cunningham. She married the late W.C (Spud) Dahlman in June of 1940 in El Paso. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lawrence R. Stablein, Jr.
Betty was a devoted Christian and homemaker. She was a devoted and active member of the Women of the Church at First Presbyterian Church in Beeville. She was especially proud of the hand bells donated to the church in honor of her late husband. She was also an active member of Rosetta Club, Circle Club and Pan American Round Table. She loved to play bridge and other card games.
She is survived by her son, Terrell Wade (Susan) Dahlman of Mabank; brother, George E. Stablein of Louisville, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Clara Lou Stablein; granddaughter, Stephanie Elizabeth Goetz (Pierce) and her daughter, Summer Elizabeth Goetz of Dallas; grandson, Terrell Wade Dahlman (Katy) and their children, Jack Ogden Dahlman, Sidney Wade Dahlman, and Elizabeth Kate Dahlman of Dallas; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero. The Reverend Milton Black, Rector of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church of Corpus Christi will be officiating.
Special thanks are extended to Betty's special friend and caregiver, Sandy Coleman, and all those special healthcare workers at Brookdale Holmgren Center who devotedly cared for her.
