Elizabeth Y. "Liz" Guzman, 62, of Cuero, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025. She was born on March 25, 1962, in Cuero to the late Santiago Guzman Sr. and Guadalupe Jaso Guzman.

Liz was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend who treasured every gathering, especially those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She was also an avid football fan, with a special fondness for the Cuero Gobblers, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Kansas City Chiefs.  Above all, Liz was a woman of deep faith. She found peace and comfort in reading her Bible, a practice she followed faithfully every day.

Liz is survived by her daughter, Krystal Hernandez-Diaz (Frank); sisters, Pat Villa (Ismael) and Marty Frederick (Jeff); brother, Santiago "Jim" Guzman; grandchildren, Kelby Crider, Konstance Hernandez, and Kingston Hernandez-Carmona; great-grandson, Korbin "Toot" Cobey; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Beverly Ann Hernandez.

Visitation will begin at 9 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cuero with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 am.  A Nurse Honor Guard Tribute will begin at 10 am and funeral mass will follow with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating.
