Ella Martha Born Baros
Ella Martha Born Baros was born January 30th, 1922 to Henry & Lydia Schulle Born. Ella went to her Lord on May 4th, 2010 at the age of 88. Ella was married to Bennie Baros on Christmas Day, 1941 and they were happily married for 63 years. Together they had two children; a son, David Baros and a daughter, Karen Baros Robinson.
Ella retired after working many years at the Home State Bank in Westhoff, Texas. She was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran, Westhoff, where she taught Sunday school and served on many committees. Ella enjoyed gardening, baking and sewing. She also had a reputation of being the first in the family to 'bag a buck' in deer season.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bennie.
Ella is survived by David Baros and wife Debra; Karen Baros Robinson and husband Michael; three grandchildren: Kendrick Baros and wife Stacy of Dripping Springs, TX, Clay Baros of Gaithersburg, Maryland and James Robinson of Irving, Texas, and one great grandson, Brayden Wayne Baros. She is also survived by her sisters, Erna Prukop, Inez, Tx; Dorothy Anderson, Edna, Tx and Rose Scott, Houston, TX. She is survived by her brothers, George Born, Boulder, Colorado and Clarence Born, Round Rock, TX. Ella was preceded in death by her sister by Hilda Lippe and brothers Elmer Born and Norman Born.
A special thanks to the fine staff at Whispering Oaks Manor where Ella called home for the past two years.
Visitation will be at Freund Funeral Home, Cuero, Texas on Thursday May 6th from 6pm till 8pm Services will be held on Friday, May 7th at 10am, at St. Lutheran Church, Westhoff, Texas. Pall bears are Kendrick Baros, Clay Baros, James Robinson, Kent Hilbrich, Bruce Bednorz, Mike Tatum.
In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund has been established at St. John Lutheran Church, Westhoff, Texas.
