Elmer W. Mann, 86, of Cuero passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012. He was born August 31, 1925 in Pleasanton to the late Jake and Kathie Mann. He married Agnes Hahn on January 2, 1954 in George West. Elmer was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army. He worked in the oilfield for Harkins Drilling for many years and was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Cuero.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Agnes Mann, of Cuero; sisters, Elsie Harris of Spring and Mildred Gaydos of Jourdanton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jakie Mann, Raymond Mann, and Bill Mann; and sister, Glades Anderson.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 6, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 10 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include David Hahn, Keith Hahn, David Fulenchek, Raymond Mann, David Ibrom, and Robert Ibrom.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Gonzales, the staff of Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation, and the staff of the Cuero Community Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
