Mr. Elywin F. Schorre, 88, of Cuero went to be with his domino buddies, Ralph Egg, Ruben Gohmert, and Edgar Dohman, on Friday, July 3, 2015. Elywin was born September 23, 1926 in DeWitt County to the late Willie and Gertrude Schendel Schorre. He married Shirley Ann Stevens in Cuero on June 9, 1979. Elywin was a cattleman and a former manager of Karnes County Livestock. He enjoyed spending time with family and loved playing dominoes.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Shirley Ann Schorre; daughters, Jan Reagan (Allan) of Leander, Pam Haun (Terry) of Meyersville, and Valerie Whites (Clay) of Ingleside; sons, Rex Schorre, Jeff Schorre (Karen), and Mike Stubbs (Mary), all of Cuero; sister, Arlene Corner of Cuero; brother, William Schorre of Pensacola, FL; 26 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Albert, Hilton, and Fermor Schorre.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, July 6, 2015, 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Kraege Wolpman, Bobby Strieber, Joe Price, Ewald Friedrich Jr., Chris Carter, Walon Rouse, and Ron Carter.
