Emily Ruiz Funari, 83, of San Antonio passed away Friday, November 19, 2021.  She was born August 25, 1938 in Yorktown to Noberto and Juanita "Janie" Aleman Ruiz.  She worked in civil service for thirty-five years.

She is survived by her daughter, Emily Louise (Andrew Boyd) Arnold of San Antonio; grandson, Donavan Avery (Meghan Ashley) Church of San Antonio; great-grandchildren, Oliver Matthew and Isabella Rae Church both of San Antonio; brothers, Roy Ruiz of Floresville and Ernest Ruiz of San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noberto and Janie Ruiz and sister, Mary Ruiz.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 10:00 AM at Hillside Cemetery with Deacon Leo Sharron officiating.
