Emma Dornak Leck, 101, of Cuero passed away  Saturday, June 1, 2019.  She was born October 15, 1917 in Shiner to the late John and Mary Tichavsky Dornak.  She married the late Elo Leck on September 7, 1939 in Shiner.  She worked for Texile Mills and was a private and public nurse.  Emma was a member of St. Michael's Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, and KJZT. She was also a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister.  In 1986 Pope John Paul II, as a pledge of divine favor, bestowed the Apostolic Blessing upon Emma in gratitude for service rendered to the church in fostering vocations.

She is survived by her son, Gus and wife Connie Leck; grandchildren, Patricia May of Boerne, Michael and Ilene Leck, Kevin and Gina Leck of Houston and Darren Leck of Victoria; nine great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 7, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with the rosary  at 6:30 pm.  Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019, 10 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Jasper Liggio officiating.  Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Michael Leck, Kevin Leck, Darren Leck, Shawn Rust, Sergio Gonzalez, Ronnie Leck and Sammy Leck.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Michael's Building Fund or Donor's Choice.
