Ernest "E.J." Thomas, 60, of Cuero passed away Friday, September 11, 2015. He was born January 12, 1955 in Cuero to Tommy Thomas and Vivian Elizabeth Gardner Thomas.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Yvonne Gardner-Strait of Cuero, Cynthia Thompson of Victoria, Gwen Monroe of Pflugerville, Tommie Williams of Round Rock, Angela Dowell of Pflugerville; brothers, Jerald Thomas of Cuero, Ervin Thomas of Katy, and Marlin Thomas of Manor.

Visitation will be held at Freund Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Cuero on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:00 am with Rev. Roy Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made out to First United Methodist Church in Cuero.
