Estella G. Bustos Hysquierdo peacefully passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024.  She was born August 16, 1941 in Arneckeville to Santiago Sr. and Antonia Garcia Bustos.

Estella married Charlie Hysquierdo on December 17, 1977 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Cuero.  She loved to travel with her husband, work outside with goats, chickens and care for her pigeons and doves.  Estella worked for over twenty years and retired from Fischer's Cleaners, which is now Triangle Cleaners.  While in retirement, she worked on puzzles at the library and color art with her sister.  The most important things in life were her husband, her faith and her family.  She was a proud supporter of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Jamaica.

Estella is survived by her sister, Mary Ortiz; brother, Santiago "Jim" Bustos Jr. (Stephanie); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago Sr. and Antonia Bustos; husband, Charlie Hysquierdo; daughter, Guadalupe Hysquierdo; step-daughter, Delia Sanchez; sister, Lucia Bustos; brother, Paul Bustos; and niece, Helen Trevino.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 5 to 7 pm with a rosary recited at 6:30 pm at Freund Funeral Home.  A funeral mass will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, 10 am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Gerald Clark, Ricky Deal, David Maldonado, Jose Ortiz Jr., Skylar Sanchez, and Joel Sanchez.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, Hospice of South Texas, or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
