Eunice Brier, widow of Victor 'Vic' A. Brier, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Eunice was born February 16, 1923 in Colorado County to John and Clara (Brooks) Guinn. On January 17, 1942 she and Victor were married in Hallettsville, Texas.
Eunice was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Cuero. Upon retirement, she served as a 'Pink Lady' in the gift shop of Cuero Community Hospital. Throughout her life, Eunice found great joy in her family and friends.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed golf, bowling, sewing, yard work, and planning for holidays. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Cuero Golf Association.

She was preceded in death by a young brother, Victor Guinn; her parents and her loving husband of 61 years.

Her loving family includes one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Don O'Neal of Cuero; son and daughter-in-law, Victor 'Bubba' and Ann Brier of Brenham; grandchildren, Becky Fuchs Allen and husband, Robert of Katy, Mandy Fuchs of Spring, and Matthew Brier and wife, Sherri of Brenham; great-grandchildren, Victoria Allen, Amanda Allen, and Carolanne Rose Allen, all of Katy; sister, Dorothy 'Dot' Bauer and husband John D. of Cuero; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, October 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glenn Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Voelkel, Matthew Brier, Chuck Bauer, Robert Allen, Davis Bauer, and Ricky Kurtz.
