Evelyn Bennett Bilbrey, 89, of Cuero passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013. She was born April 25,1923 in Cuero to the late Jim and Emma Williams Bennett. She worked at the Cotton mill and Cuero Community Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamula Koenig-Dalton and husband, R.D. Dalton or Cuero; sons, Douglas Bilbrey and wife, Sharon, of Cibalo and Doyle Bilbrey and wife, Dorothy, of Alice; sister, Jean Cason of Anderson, South Carolina; brother, Buddy Bennett of Normangee; grandchildren, Kaysi and Karli Koenig of Cuero, Robert Bilbrey, Julie Bilbrey, Dawni Tollett, Devon Bilbrey, and Derick Bilbrey; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lula Barber and Myrtle Long; brothers, Gilbert Bennett and Irvin Bennett; and 1 great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2:00p.m. at First Baptist Church in Cuero, 408 N. Gonzales.
