Evelyn Sager McWhorter, 99, of Cuero passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020. She was born to Otto and Ann Nagel Sager on July 26, 1921 in Arneckeville. She married Charles "Mac" Joseph McWhorter on February 14, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Houston. Evelyn retired from Sears and Roebuck after many years of service. Mac and Evelyn spent most of their retirement years on their ranch in Arneckeville.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Ann LeSage Bolinger of The Woodlands; her son, Dr. Ray LeSage of San Antonio; grandchildren, Darren Troy LeSage of Magnolia, Craig Dwayne Hooper of Spring, Chris Dwayne Hooper of Spring, Brandi Lyn Hooper Saville of Spring, and Elizabeth Ann LeSage of San Antonio; 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mac, of 60 years; brothers, Albert H. Sager and Edmund G. Sager; and great-grandson, Colby Dwayne Hooper.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021, 1 PM at Zion Lutheran Cemetery - Arneckeville. Graveside Services will begin at 2 PM with Pastor Paul Kirchner officiating.

Pallbearers include Brad Hooper, Cameron Hooper, Shane Hunter, Mark House, Randall Flessner, and Brian Sager.
