Farris Schlinke, 82, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010. He was born August 29, 1927 in DeWitt County to the late August and Annie Logman Schlinke. He was a farmer and a rancher.

He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Bostick and husband, Jimmy, of Rocksprings and Carolyn Lucas of Cuero; son, Harold Schlinke and wife, Anna, of Cuero; sister, Marion Mollenkopf of Cuero; grandchildren, Dawn Bostick of Kerrville and Bradley Bostick of San Saba, Tina Lucas of Corpus Christi, Tommie Lucas Jr. of Cuero, Ashley Schlinke of New Mexico, Marsha Schlinke of Cuero, and Daniel Schlinke of Tampa, Florida; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, August 12, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Kueker officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Lindenau Cemetery.
