Obituary

Fay Fischer Weber passed away Monday, February 21st at Cuero Community Hospital. She was born in Cuero on August 4th, 1913 to Arthur and Mary Will Fischer. She was a great cook and seamstress, and loved to work in her garden. Also she was an avid fisherman, weaver, and talented artist and never missed an athletic event that her son and daughter participated in. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Clifton Weber; her parents; her sister, Merle Rose Bramlette; and her brothers, Bob and John Fischer.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Gayle Brindley of Sugarland; her son, Mike Weber and his wife, Merilyn, of Cuero; her grandchildren, Paul Brindley of Los Angeles, Calif., Mitchell Brindley of Smithfield, VA; Hans Brindley of Houston; Kathy Wilson of Waxahachie, Cliff Weber III and Richard Weber, both of Cuero; her great grandchildren, Chase and Paul Brindley, Pierce and Josie Brindley, Luke Brindley, John Charles Brindley, Rhett Brindley, Jonathon Cox, Abigayle Hunt, Mitchell Cox, Michael C. Weber IV and Campbell Weber, Hannah Fay Weber, Madelyn Weber and Audrey Weber; and great-great-grandchildren, Fayth and Ella Hunt and Julianna and Jessa Rose Cox.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, February 24, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glenn Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Cliff Weber III, Richard Weber, Paul Brindley, Mitchell Brindley, Hans Brindley, and Kerry Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers include Frank Sheppard, Louise Truede, and the other wonderful caregivers that attended her during her long illness.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Cuero, DeWitt Medical Foundation, or the M. Clifton Weber LVN Nursing Scholarship Fund.
