FLOYD D. PRIDGEN
SAN ANTONIO - Floyd D. Pridgen, 88, passed away in San Antonio, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008. He was born on Aug. 4, 1920, in Thomaston, to the late Floyd and Nora Brown Pridgen. He lived in San Antonio for many years, but he was a native of Cuero. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater with the 507th and 318th fighter groups. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cuero, Sons of the Republic of Texas (William B. Travis Chapter) and the D.A.V.
He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pridgen will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Oct. 17, 2008, at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kathryn Morton officiating. Interment will follow at Thomaston Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers: Dr. James E. Pridgen, Phillip E. Smith, Dr. Peter Petroff, Jimmy Pridgen, Phillip Grandjean, Ryan Roark, and David Dickey.
