Frieda Bade, 93, of Cuero passed away Friday, March 02, 2012. She was born on June 4, 1918, to the late C.A. Henry and Mary Schorlemmer Sager. She married Heinie Bade on October 13, 1940. For 69 years, she was the supportive partner in their work and activities.
Frieda was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir, and served on numerous committees. She was a member of St. Mark's Women of the ELCA. She also served on synodical committees. Frieda was a member of the Cuero Community Hospital Auxiliary and the Five Mile Home Demonstration Club.

She is survived by sons, Lawrence, Norman (Claudia), David (Linda), and John (Robin); daughters, Margaret (Roger) Drushel, Lois (Butch) Tolbert, and Bernice (Bob) Huie; grandchildren, Matthew Bade, Emily Duron, Deanna Michalewicz, Patricia Morehead, Nicholas Bade, Richard Bade, Mary Bade, Corey Tolbert, Neal Tolbert, Michael Bade, Kristen Huie, and Megan Huie; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years; sisters, Lina Koehler, Leona Sager, Welma Sager, Ellen Sager, and Ruth Egg; and brothers, Edwin, Paul, Lenard, and Oscar Sager.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, March 5, 2012, 10 a.m., at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cuero with Pastor Karl Biermann officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Arneckeville.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
