Mr. Gaylon Morgan Jones Jr., 66, of Cuero passed away Friday, November 19, 2021.  He was born September 14, 1955 in Cuero to Gaylon Morgan Sr. and Nora Addie Harper Jones.  Gaylon was baptized at an early age and became a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church.  He attended and graduated from Cuero High School in the class of 1974.  He became a professional truck driver and received many awards for the many years and many miles he proudly drove.  He most recently attended Little Zion Baptist Church in Cuero up until he earned his heavenly wings.

He is survived by daughter, Gavarae Jones Dokun (Tunde) of Flossmoor, IL; son, Gaylon Morgan Jones III (Monique) of Rosharon; grandchildren, Devion Jones of Fayetteville, AR, Avery Jones of Flossmoor, IL, Maiya Jones of Rosharon, Imani Dokun of Flossmoor, IL and Grayson Jones of Rosharon; former wife and life-long friend, Gavilyn Jones of Houston as well as a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Spencer McKinley Jones.
