Genaro Robles, Sr., 83, of Austin passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was born December 2, 1929 in Bloomington to the late Inocencio and Pauline Guillen Robles. He married his beloved wife Paula Galindo Robles on September 25, 1949 in Cuero. He worked as a hardwood floor specialist at Trinity Floors in Dallas for over 50 years. He was an avid music lover, played the violin, and loved to sing.
He is survived by his wife, Paula, of 63 years; son, Genaro Robles, Jr. of Austin; daughter, Toni Robles of Austin; grandchildren, Amira Box of Austin, Paula J Robles, Hope Martinez and husband, Gilbert, Jr., and Michelle Saucedo and husband, Jerry; great-grandchildren, Solomon Matthew Saucedo, Samara Gutierrez, Elias Gutierrez, Jayden Robles, Jaylin Puente, and Eric Puente, Jr.; sisters, Celia Trevino of Phx, AZ, Stella Delgado of Port Lavaca, Dolores Guerrero of Victoria, Genevieve Robles of Houston, and Carolina Jimenez of Pasadena; and brother, Inocencio "Junior" Robles of Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Maria Antonia Robles.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 30,2013 from 6-8 p.m. with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Andy Galindo, Adam Galindo, Ismael Galindo, Isreal Galindo, Wayne Ortiz, and Johnnie McAfee.
Honorary pallbearers include Sonny Guillen, Mark Deleon, Trey Robles, and Brady Robles.
