Genevieve Kulik Tam, 68, of Cuero, passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2011. She was born Jan. 2, 1943 to the late Alex Kulik and Agnes Mainka Kulik. She married Edward J. Tam on Dec. 26, 1960 in Yorktown. She retired from the CISD cafeteria and was a cook with White Leghorn. She was a former 4-H adult leader, past band parent president, NWS reporter, and weather reporter for the Victoria Advocate.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Wendel (Mark) of Meyersville and Melissa Vavrusa of Cuero; sister, Barbara Jacobs (Larry) of Floresville; brothers, Ambrose Kulik (Beverly) of Ratcliff and Frank Kulik (Ann) of Westhoff; and grandchildren, Kelsey Wendel and Kayla Wendel, both of Meyersville, and Braxton Vavrusa of Cuero.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; twin granddaughters, Heather and Hope Wendel of Meyersville.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero with
Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.
Pallbearers will be her nephews: Kevin Kulik, Brian Kulik, Shane Kulik, Nicholas Kulik, Lloyd Kulik, and Frank Kulik Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
