Geno Hogan, 92, of Cuero passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 in Cuero. He was born on November 24, 1917 in Oakdale, Louisiana to the late John and Lydia Hogan. He was a mechanic and a ranch hand, and served his community as a volunteer fireman. He married his late wife, Bernice, on May 11, 1940 in Cuero.
He is survived by daughters, Velma Hoffman and husband, Vic, of Cuero and Maxine Walker and husband, Wayne, of Magnolia; son, Morris Hogan and wife, Ellen, of Pembroke, Georgia; sister, Annie Mae Harryman of Liberty; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife; sisters, Mary Parker and Fay Connally; and brothers, Kenneth Hogan, Lee Hogan, and Curtis Hogan.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Bagwell officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Kenedy City Cemetery in Kenedy.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Hoffman, Robert Hoffman, Michael Walker, Justin Walker, Larry Luna, and Ronnie Hogan.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Hogan, Randall Hogan, Melissa Boyd, Steven Walker, Debbie Hoffman, Gina Kocurek, Eric Hoffman, and Sarah Hoffman.
