Obituary

George N. Hahn, 71, of Cuero, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010. He was born Aug. 11, 1938, in Luling, to the late George T. Hahn and Louise Doris Hahn. He married Jane Nell Junker on April 5, 1959.

He served in the National Guard from 1956 to 1965 and was a rancher. He enjoyed ranching and hunting.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Lurie Hahn of Cuero; sons, Michael Hahn of Victoria and Mark Hahn of Cuero; sister, Doris (Bill) Stuebing of Maxwell; and brothers, Kenneth Hahn (Nancy) of Cuero and Charles (Geneva) of Westhoff.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today, Jan. 18, 2010 at Freund Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010 at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Barbara Beale officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Arneckeville.

Pallbearers will be Ray Gloor, Ronnie Slovacek, Bob Thaxton, Bobby Schley, Roger Weise, and Lance Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth and Nancy Hahn, Deirdre Ritter, Kenneth Palmer, Charles Hahn, Doris Steubing, and Janet Thaxton.
