Georgia Ann Pauline Buehrig born to George August Raak and Annie Pauline Meissner Raak in Dewitt County, on February 23, 1910 and died at the age of 98 in Corpus Christi, Texas, on November 19, 2008. She married the late Ralph Fritz Buehrig on June 10, 1936, in Cuero, and together they had three children, Dianne, Gwen and Harvey.

Mrs. Buehrig was a life-long resident of Dewitt County, attended business college, and later worked for Cuero Independent School District. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and the St. Mark's Lutheran Women, Heirloom Stitchers Guild and the Family Community Club.

Mrs. Buehrig, in her later years, enjoyed traveling, quilting with friends and family, the culinary arts, gardening, and spending time with her extended family and friends.

She is survived by her three children, Dianne Mahan Bellaire, Texas, Gwen Karcher, Port Aransas, Texas, and Harvey Buehrig, Victoria, Texas, as well as her four grandchildren, June Mann, Gary Mahan, Deana Justice, and Young Buehrig, and great-grandchildren, including Charles Mann, Michael Mann and Steven Mann.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home at 213 N. Gonzales, Cuero, Texas, with a memorial service on Sunday in the Chapel of Freund Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. to be followed by graveside services at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
