Gladys L Dieringer

Gladys Louise Goehring Dieringer, age 95, of Cuero passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026. She was born September 26, 1930, in DeWitt County to the late Paul and Agnes Krueger Goehring of Westhoff. She married her beloved husband, Roland Rudolph Dieringer on June 25, 1950, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Cuero, Texas. Roland passed away Oct. 26, 2002. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, known as Mimi to her grandchildren. Her life focused on faith, love, and family and being gracious to everyone she encountered.

A lifetime active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and in 1973 she was the first lady to serve on Church Council at St. Mark's. This marked an historical milestone, as this is the first time a woman was elected to serve on Council and she served many years as Treasurer and on financial committees. She was a member of the quilters group at St. Mark's sewing quilt tops, back packs for school supplies and pillow slip dresses. She was a past President of the Pilot Club of Cuero, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, served as President on the Cuero Community Hospital Volunteers and was an honorary active member, making tray favors for patients at the hospital, and working in the Wishing Well (gift shop) and was an active member of the DeWitt County Wildflower Association.

She retired in 1995 after 38½ years with Cuero Federal Savings & Loan Association, now Trust Texas Bank. At the age of 90 years old she attended the ribbon cutting of Trust Texas Bank 100 year celebration. She spent her days in retirement traveling and finding joy in doing for others. She learned how to play bridge with her friends. She was a computer person and played canasta, spades, bridge and other games with people all over the world.

She is survived by sons, Donald Dieringer and wife, Cheryl of Cuero and Billy Ray Dieringer of Dripping Springs; brother, Raymond P. Goehring of Westhoff; grandchildren, Justin (Thai) of Seguin, Ryan and wife, Kacie, of Victoria, Brian and wife, Morgan, of Dripping Springs, and Jeffrey and wife, Ashley, of Dripping Springs; and great-grandchildren, Adalyn Necole, Ava Grace, Braydon, Kaylin, Whitten, Cannon.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Roland R Dieringer of 52 years; parents; four sisters, Ella Oehlke, Claudia Oehlke, Iva Junker, and Agnes Weise; and brother, Stacy Goehring.

Visitation will be Monday, February 2, 2026 from 5 to 7 pm at Freund Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026, 2 pm, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the memorial fund at St. Mark's Lutheran Church or donor's choice.

Pallbearers include Gaylon Oehlke, Allan Goering, Wesley Goehring, and grandsons Jeffrey Dieringer, Justin Dieringer, Ryan Dieringer and Brian Dieringer.
