Gloria Ruschhaupt Eckel, 81, of Goliad passed away Saturday November 12, 2016. She was born July 25, 1935 in Meyersville to the late Marcus and Florine Hasdorff Ruschhaupt. Gloria married Gary D. Eckel on August 22, 1959 in Cuero.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathi Moreno (Jessie) of Victoria; grandchildren Khristina Knebel of Cuero and Ashley Moreno of Austin; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and her loving family of dogs.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary; brother Gordon Ruschhaupt and sister, Marlene DiGiantomasso.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 14, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Sharon Wiggins officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Dylan Knebel, Kamren Knebel, Michael Ruschhaupt, Kenneth Knebel, Brandon Knebel, Jonathan Knebel and Jeff Forester.
