Gloria V. Gomez, 49, of Cuero passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014. She was born October 20, 1964 in El Campo to Juan G. Gomez and Amelia Vasquez. Gloria loved being grandma "Buela" to all her grandkids. She is survived by her father; husband, Juan Garcia; children, Monica Moore (Justin) of Cuero, Tammy Mejias (John III) of Cuero, Gina Gurrola of Cuero, Priscilla Trevino (Arthur) of Cuero, Joe Fred Vasquez of Austin, Mariah Garcia of Cuero, Brianna Garcia of Cuero, Ivan Gomez of Cuero, and Eric Gomez of Cuero; sisters, Ann Garcia and Lisa Guzman of Homestead, FL & Donna Gomez and Laura Vasquez of Cuero; brother, John Gomez of Homestead, Fl; and 14 grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her mother and sister Mary Ann Gomez. Visitation will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary beginning at 7 pm. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Westhoff.
