Gloria C. Ruiz, 83, of Cuero passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020. She was born August 23, 1937 in Cuero to the late Guadalupe and Victoria S. Camareno. She married Eliceo Ruiz on June 11, 1955 in Cuero. She worked for Cuero ISD as well as a leather company. Gloria loved her dogs and plants. She was family oriented and was there whenever her family and friends were in need.

She is survived by her sisters, Rosa Salazar of San Benito and Eva C. Camareno (Juan T. Gonzales) of Corpus Christi; and brother, Rudy Camareno, Sr. of Corpus Christi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eliceo Ruiz; daughter, Roseanne Ruiz; sister, Alicia Mendez and brother, Robert Camareno.

A rosary will be recited on Monday, September 21, 2020, 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM with Father Jasper Liggio officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Rudy Camareno Jr., Juan Gonzales, Jesse Mendez, Adrian Gonzales, Zachary Gonzales and Juan Barbontin.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
