Obituary
Hazel Battles, 82, of Cuero passed away Monday, June 29, 2009. She was born July 17, 1926 in DeWitt County to the late Ed and Hattie Stevens Battles.
She is survived by her daughter, Pearlene Burton of Cuero; sons, Rev. Ned Battles of Corpus Christi and Troy Battles of Cuero; sister, Gussie Rogers of Port Lavaca; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ned Battles Sr.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Little Zion Baptist Church with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ned Battles Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Lockhart Cemetery.
