Obituary

Hazel Hartman Reeves, a long term resident of Cuero, passed away on Dec. 27, 2011, at the age of 90. She was born on Sept. 12, 1921, in Arneckville, in DeWitt County, to the late Christian Hartman and Valeska Hartman Lamb.


She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronney Reeves; and great-grandson, Devin Buchanek.


Hazel is survived by daughter, Fayth Coveney and husband Albert of Magnolia; 3 sisters and 2 brothers, 5 grandchildren, Valeska Koehler and husband, Brian of Victoria, Robert Reeves and wife, Melinda of Ganado, Randy Buchanek of Cuero, Timothy Buchanek and wife, Christi of Schulenberg, and Kristi Squier and husband, Paul of Spring; eleven great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.


She also left the following message:
"My life was lived with the family I loved.
My work on Earth was a labor of love.

I will be one that misses all I knew but will find my solace in the arms of God.

May we all join one another in the far distant future in peace and harmony at last.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.


Memorials can be made to Hospice of South Texas or donor's choice.
