Cuero - Helen Koenig, 75, of Cuero passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 after battling cancer. She was born May 16, 1954 in Cuero, Texas to the late Arnold and Esther Goehlke.

Helen is survived by two sons, Keith and his wife Mary Kay along with their two daughters, Kelly and Kathryn Salo, all of Cuero and Craig Salo and his wife Jackie along with their two daughters, Kimberley and Kiersten Salo, all of Middletown, New York. She is also survived by two sisters, Arnelda Carter of Cuero and Melva Behrens of Glyndon, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mildred Pump.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Lifeway Church in Cuero from 6 to 8 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at a later date for the interment of the ashes.
