Homer Charles Bade Jr., 90, of Cuero passed away Monday, September 18, 2023.  He was born December 9, 1932 in San Antonio to Homer and Hertha Windmeyer Bade.  He married Lila Eunice Frieda on February 7, 1954 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sublime.  Homer worked as a carpenter for the better part of twenty-five years.  He enjoyed playing the steel guitar with the Southernaires, Homer & Gene, the Westerners, Ed Junot the Fiddlin Cajun.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Lila; daughters, Yvonne Riske (Donnie) of Seguin, Karen Shimek (Nick) of Shiner and Sandra Buck (Jim) of Dripping Springs; sister, Mary Ann Kosub of Rockport; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023, 10:00 AM at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM with Rex Bennetsen officiating.
