Homer Everett Priest Jr., 68, of Cuero passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020.  He was born April 9, 1952 in Beeville to the late Homer and Doris Priest.  He served in the United States Army.  He married Brenda Aschenbeck on December 20, 1985 in Cuero.  He worked for Dietze Cattle Ranch and Pecan Farm as the Ranch Foreman for the last 34 years.  He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Brenda; daughters, Renae (Daniel) Kendrick of Seguin, Denise (Aaron) Mouser of Houston, Kimberly (Michael) Varela of Cuero and Cheryl Priest of Edna; sister, Cheryl Priest; brother, Mark Priest; and seven grandchildren, Tanner, Chase, Austin, Nicolas, Aiden, Eric and Connor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Doris Priest; as well as brothers, Terry, Robert and Carl Priest.

Visitation was held Tuesday, August 4, 2020, 5-7 PM at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral Services were Wednesday, August 5, 2020, 10 AM at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Brown officiating.  Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Johnny Dietze, Michael Varela, Nicolas Varela, Tanner Mouser, Austin Kendrick and Juan Rodriguez.

Honorary Pallbearer was Errol John Dietze.
