Hugh M. McLeod, 101, of Cuero passed away Friday, May 28, 2010. He was born September 3, 1908 in Hot Coffee, Mississippi to the late John and Joanne (Spell) McLeod. He was a manufacturing engineer, active with the Boy Scouts of America for many years, and loved gardening and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Sunshine C. McLeod; his son, H.M. 'Milt' McLeod; his grandchildren, Dr. Michael R. McLeod and Kelley McLeod Sullivan; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and nine brothers.

Services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 2 p.m. , at First Methodist Church with Pastor Debby Lake and Pastor Warren Austin of Riverside United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010, 2 p.m., at Riverside United Methodist Church Cemetery in Riverside, north of Huntsville.

Pallbearers will be the Methodist Men from First United Methodist Church, Cuero and Brendan McLeod. Honorary pallbearers will be Parker Sullivan and Quinn Sullivan.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church or First United Methodist Church, Cuero.
